  1. Postal Bar Code (Template Options Button)
  2. In April of 1991, the Postal Service changed the way their automation equipment scanned mail pieces for bar code.  By scanning the entire face of the envelope, the Postal Service can read POSTNET bar code whether printed above or below the address block.

  4. Selecting the Template Options button displays the Template Options dialog.  When Postal Bar Code is selected, you may select the location for the bar code.  Wide-area bar coding allows you to print bar code above or below the address block, or in the lower right-hand corner.
